The hot food is fantastic. I've tried the rice, beef kebabs, and chicken kebabs. They are all delicious and don't forget to try the shallot yogurt sauce on the side or the sumac to sprinkle on top.

Whenever I come to Walnut Creek (usually for doctor's appointments!) I make a point to come here & pick up some fresh baklava (they've got endless choices), pistachios from Turkey (I try not to buy the ones from CA anymore because I don't wanna support the Resnicks who own PomWonderful & are using up all the water in CA!), jars of CHEAP yummy olives, tins if hummous & bana ganoush & other treats. The nail salon next door (Luxy) is quality as well.

Very tasty halal meat. Very nice employees. There are also very tasty dishes here, I also bought custard, but I think the price is a little too high

The chicken kabob and basmati rice were fantastic! I would definitely order from them again. In my opinion, it was better than any place around.

Ordered the same things a 2nd time around. The beef filet was dryer and tougher than the first time, but still pretty good. Actually, everything except the chicken thighs seemed a little dryer now that I think about it. But I still enjoyed it all. (I noticed a different guy cooking.) The only big disappointment was the Zereshkpolo with chicken. It came with basmati rice with some dried cranberry-like pieces tossed in, which added a nice flavor profile. What was disappointing was the chicken. It was a huge huge slab of breast meat. Portion was generous but it was super dry and lacking in flavor. Will stick solely to the chicken thigh kebabs for my chicken intake in future because those have been consistently moist and delish! Also saw a big slice of cake in their dessert display, which I had to try. It reminded me of tres leches, the wet milky Mexican cake dessert, but better. Not as soggy and not overly sweet. At $9 a piece, which is pretty pricey for a slice of cake, I'm glad it turned out to be something we all enjoyed. I love going in to their store just to see what they have for dessert. It's always changing so it's a like a nice little surprise every time. FYI: the prices for their cooked food displayed on their menu appears to be outdated because every single item was rung up at a higher price at the cashier. $8 turned into $8.50. $24 turned into $26.50. Etc.
